Color Me WHIMSY'S fast-paced fashions.

At Color Me WHIMSY we offer the very best of children's fashion from the small boutiques of Namdaemun Market in South Korea. This market not only influences what retailer's sell, but also weighs in big with the Asian fashion industry. Due to a competitive and fast-paced environment some items may sell out of stock very quickly, so If you like something, you really should act to ensure you are not disappointed.  If it is the case that an item is out of stock never fear, we can often place the item on back order - it'll just take a little extra time for you to receive your goodies. You can choose something else from our list, bare in mind our list will continue to grow as new stock will be generally updated 3-4 times a week. To guarantee satisfaction it is always best to choose from the new arrivals page, if however you like something that has been listed for a while we will try our utmost to source it for you.

Happy shopping.

The Children's Museum, Brooklyn.

November 23, 2014

Yerrhum and I have been huge fans of the Children's Museum of Manhattan ever since she was 1 (she is now 4). She loves running around the 3 floors exploring and playing. Upon a friends recommendation we took a trip to Brooklyn's Children's Museum and I think we like it more. It seemed bigger than Manhattan, perhaps because there was so much more to entertain us. One huge bonus Brooklyn has over Manhattan is the cafeteria, somewhere you can sit and eat whether you bring your own for or buy...

Art Party at PS1. MoMA

November 11, 2014

We received a gift from South Korea, a beautiful fall/winter dress. True to South Korean fashion the quality is top-notch. It is thick and warm, very soft, and most importantly, it twirls when Yerrhum spins making her feel like a princess. A perfect Sunday afternoon at MOMA PS1. in LIC, we had lunch at the highly recommended M.Wells Dinette (yum, yum), we wondered the halls of one of the oldest and largest nonprofit contemporary art institutions in the United States, and Yerrhum had a great time letting her creative juices flow. As soon as we walked into the tent - group art making in support of arts education - she got to work contributing. Focussed Assistance please. After art comes time for reflection... And of course family selfie before bracing...

November 03, 2014

Last year we made the transition from sleep sack to quilt which was great as it signaled a new stepping stone Yerrhum was passing through. The only problem was that I found myself waking up 2-3 times a night to put the covers back on her. I was exhausted as my sleep was constantly broken and Yerrhum was often cold. I found some sleep blankets in South Korea and immediately thought they were genius. They are light enough to wear over pjs, in bed under the covers, and add an essential layer of warmth for when my tossing-turning babe eventually kicks off all of her covers and destroys her bed. I still sometimes wake up during the night because old habits die hard, but I am better rested...
